In recent years, microplastics have been increasingly discovered in the human body, including our blood, lungs, and brain. Addressing the global impact of microplastics starts with science-based solutions.
The 5 Gyres Institute is a leader in the global movement against plastic pollution with 15 years of expertise in scientific research, having led expeditions to all five subtropical gyres and many of the world’s lakes and rivers. Today, 5 Gyres is addressing the “Plastic Smog” in our oceans, air, and bodies by leading scientific research on microplastics, including microfibers from textiles, and using that research to advocate for proven, upstream solutions.

Impact offerings and projects may change based on availability. However, individual donation reports are not available. These purchases are not tax deductible, nor are they a donation. In the event that your selected project becomes unavailable your contribution will be earmarked towards a substantially similar alternative with equivalent environmental impact offered by the same project partner that you selected.

A portion of each purchase is dedicated to the maintenance of this program, and our commitment to offer high-impact, high-quality impact projects to the Grove community.
