Each standard below tests for different substances, through different methodologies, and against different exposure pathways — harmful chemical inputs, toxic substances, health and ecosystem hazards, indoor air emissions, added formaldehyde, and ingredient transparency. Mattress Setup & Care:

Before You Begin:
Organic latex, wool, and steel coils make this mattress heavier than conventional foam mattresses. For Queen and larger sizes, two people are recommended for setup.

Unboxing Instructions:

  • Open your mattress within 30 days of delivery.
  • Move the box into the room where the mattress will be used before opening it.
  • Lay the box on its side and slide the mattress out.
  • Remove the outer Kraft paper wrapping.
  • Unroll and position the mattress on your bed frame, foundation, adjustable base, or platform bed, leaving enough room for it to fully expand.
  • The mattress can be slept on immediately after unboxing.

Proper Support:
Place the mattress on a rigid, supportive surface capable of supporting the combined weight of the mattress and its users. For third-party frames, slats must be no more than 5 inches apart and at least 2.5 inches wide. Recommended for up to 350 lb per person (700 lb total for Queen and larger sizes).

Rotation:
Rotate the mattress from head to toe every 3–6 months to promote even wear and help maintain comfort and support over time. Because the head and foot are identical, regular rotation can help extend the life of the comfort layers.

Care:
Spot clean only using a small amount of mild detergent and cold water. Do not soak the mattress or use harsh chemicals. A faint natural scent from the wool and latex may be noticeable at first and should fade within a few days of airing out. Use a mattress protector to help protect against spills and everyday wear.
