Arnica montana, also called wolf’s bane or mountain arnica, is an herb that’s well-known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is believed to help with pain relief when applied topically to the skin in creams and gels.
Does cayenne pepper relieve pain?
Capsaicin, the stuff in peppers that makes ‘em spicy, is responsible for the analgesic properties of cayenne pepper. Capsaicin can reduce the amount of substance P, a chemical that sends pain messages to the brain. Less substance P means the pain messages don’t reach the brain and you’ll feel relief.
