We believe that the solution to plastic waste lies in reducing our industry’s reliance on plastic overall and improving plastic recycling rates. Avoiding single-use plastic is best.
In some areas, there isn’t a great non-plastic solution… yet. In those cases we prioritize non-single use plastic (like durable silicone) or use as little plastic as possible.
When plastic must be used, we maximize the inclusion of post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) when possible. This helps increase demand for recycling and use resources already in the value chain.
We prioritize compostable bioplastics over traditional plastics in an effort to use packaging produced from renewable materials rather than fossil fuels.
